Photo and Video consent policy

This policy explains how North London Stars FC uses photographs and video recordings of players for club-related purposes.

The club may take photographs and video recordings during training sessions, matches, and club events.

These images and videos will be used strictly for:

• The club’s official website
• The club’s social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X)

Media will be used to:

• Promote the club
• Celebrate player participation and achievements
• Share updates with the club community

In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018:

• Images and videos are considered personal data
• The club will process this data lawfully, fairly, and transparently
• Media will not be sold or shared with third parties without further consent
• Content will only be used for legitimate club purposes

The club is committed to safeguarding all children and young people.

• Images will be used appropriately and respectfully
• No personal details (such as full names, addresses, or contact details) will be published alongside images without additional consent
• Content will not be used in a way that could place a child at risk

Consent is obtained through the club’s online registration process upon registration via Spond App or Google Registration Form, where parents/guardians are required to actively confirm their choice via a checkbox.

By selecting consent, you agree to your child’s image being used as outlined in this policy.

Providing consent is voluntary and does not affect participation in club activities.

You have the right to withdraw consent at any time or request the removal of specific images or videos.

The club will:

• Process requests within a reasonable timeframe, and
• Remove content where reasonably possible

Please note that once content has been shared on social media, it may not be possible to fully remove copies held by third parties.
